[P365: Y3D13] Bali, Day 4: Plains, Tirtagangga, Beach

On the way to our next stop, we have stopped by at a roadside where we can see a wide view of plantation area…

There are really shrines / altars everywhere in Bali, even in this seemingly remote plantation area…

But think of it, back here in Malaysia, you also can find Islam mosques, Hindu temples in many places. And also altars of chinese religion, such as 拿督公 (Na Du Gong) and 地主公 (Di Zhu Gong) can be found in road sides or shops, just that the Balinese’s are more architecturally beautiful.

Our next stop is Taman Tirtagangga Water Palace, a maze of pools and fountains surrounded by a lush garden and stone carvings and statues. The place was built in 1948 by the last King of Karangasem.

It rained briefly when we reached there. Luckily it stopped.

It’s as if a chess / boardgame, perhaps we can play some game with it? >.<

Another part of the park…

Some place are restricted to the residents of the villa there. Can’t go in further.

Some construction materials outside the entrance. Wonder what are those made of, as in it’s all black. Are those made of volcanic soil?

Our last stop of the day is Candi Dasa Beach, located in eastern Bali.

The concrete sea breaks to protect the beach area. More info at here.

Later in the night, we have our dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, Kuta, which is only a few streets (around 15 minutes of walk) away from our hotel.

Ordered 3 combos to share among the 4 of us.

We went back of hotel for a short rest before coming out to have another walk. I almost overslept in my room. Due to i didn’t open international roaming, Hanhan had to come up to find me after i didn’t show up at the meet-up time. He almost bang in the wrong room. Luckily he didn’t. ^^||

Around 11pm, have walked from Kuta, along the beach, all the way to Legian. A lot of lively, noicy pubs along the way.

This day was our last day taking day tour. The next day we walked on our own.
