Had went to the Lantern Parade of Moon Walk Pudu Art Festival yesterday night. The event started from 7.15pm till 10.30pm.

The 1st performance, a dance piece entitled “Anak Malaysia” by Dua Space Dance Group…

The dance epic tells the story of ancestors of Malaysian Chinese building their homeland on this country. Songs of different dialect, including Hakka, Teow Chew, Guan Dong, and Hokkien were performed.

The 2nd performance is a theater entitled “Scenes in Pudu”, directed by Soon Choon Mee. It combines street performance, traditional medicine show and theatrical play. It portrayed the simple life in Pudu seen through the eyes and told by the voices of characters such as a carpenter, an Indonesian daughter-in-law, and a scissors grinder…
