[P365: Y2D42] Earth Hour
Sunday, March 28th, 2010 at 10:26 pm | Blog | project 365 #28.30pm till 9.30pm yesterday was Earth Hour, a global event which held on the last Saturday of March annually, asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change (or so wiki says). Had went out to see how many shops out there actually participate in this event…
A corner of Lot 10′s foodcourt operated in dark (although at the end once you turn left to the more crowded area, lights were still on)…
Although there were some people nearby distributing Earth Hour fans to raise awareness among the public, but guess the iconic mall didn’t have extra “non-essential lights” to participate in the event…
Meanwhile, another landmark in the city had it’s lights turn off…
When reached the KLCC park, at first was puzzled by the crowd who looking upwards with photo-shooting devices in their hands…
… the crowd was shooting down the moment the 2 towers turn back on the lights after 9.30pm…
Photos taken yesterday night.
