[Random Pics: Day#142] DaiCon: Prelude – MMU Revisited
Monday, July 6th, 2009 at 4:01 am | Blog | Events | project 365 #1 | DaiConFriends had asked me regarding how to get themselves to MMU for the Daicon. To those who wish to know how, here’s some guide from the official Daicon site.
Via Public Transport
Fast access to Multimedia University, Cyberjaya can be obtained by either bus or train.1. By bus:
If your departure point is anywhere in KL: Get yourself to the Pasar Seni bus stop (the bus stop nearest to the Pasar Seni Putra LRT station). From there, take the RapidKL E1 to Putrajaya Sentral. If your departure point is Bandar Utama: From the 1Utama bus station, take the RapidKL U43 to Putrajaya Sentral.
2. By train:
From KL Sentral, you can either:a. Take the KLIA Transit to Putrajaya Sentral. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes, and the fare is RM9.50 one-way.
b. Take the KTM Komuter to Bandar Tasik Selatan station, and switch over to the KLIA Transit heading towards Putrajaya Sentral. It takes about 40 to 60 minutes, and the fare is RM6.30.
From Putrajaya Sentral, you can board the RapidKL T429 bus to MMU Cyberjaya (fare is RM1.00), or take the charted taxi from the counter located opposite the bus platform (fare is RM11.00).
If you are driving, however…
There are three highways servicing Cyberjaya: namely the Sungai Besi Highway, the North-South Highway (take the UPM exit), and the newly built Maju Expressway connecting Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya. For the fastest access to our venue, we recommend you to use the Maju Expressway: it takes only 15 minutes from KL to Cyberjaya.

Since it’s less than a week’s time to the event, so yesterday had decided to have a trip back to my uni, aka. the venue of the event. For your information, i haven’t go back to MMU for almost a year, so the main purpose for my yesterday trip is to make sure i still know how to go there and to estimated how much time needed.
Initially had planned to go in the morning, but in the end only manage to get out of Otaku Realm(aka. my room) late afternoon.
My brief travel log:
4:24pm, Took E1 RapidKL bus at Pasar Seni bus stop (beside the Pasar Seni LRT station) to take the E1 RapidKL bus. Bus fare is RM5 for return ticket.
4:50pm, E1 bus stops at the Putrajaya Sentral (a bus / taxi terminal, with a KLIA Express station). There’s already a T429 RapidKL bus ready to go. Had took the bus to go to Cyberjaya. Bus fare is RM1.
5:17pm, Reached MMU.
After reached my uni, had then wandering around and looked for the venue. Posters of Daicon can be seen everywhere (haha… ofcoz la… the event is around the corner), and are competing with banners from other events in the campus…
The Grand Hall, ie the venue of the event (do correct me if i’m wrong)…
The main entrance of the hall. Sure the place will be full of cosplayers / visitors / anime-lovers in this coming Saturday and Sunday…
That’s all for now. Looking forward to see you guys there! ^_^
