Hanjian

Thursday, February 5th, 2009 at 8:06 pm | Blog | ,

In Chinese culture, a Hanjian (traditional Chinese: 漢奸; simplified Chinese: 汉奸; pinyin: Hànjiān) is a highly derogatory and pejorative term for a traitor to the Han Chinese ethnicity, distinct from the word traitor (叛徒). Literally, it means traitor who is a Han or one who betrays Han (people), and traces its roots back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). ~ From the “B1b1e

So, if you are a Chinese, and is being called by that, it’s definite not a good thing (atleast it’s not something you can yell “Hooray!” “Yatta!” “Ah Ma, O duck jor lar!”).

So… what had happen to the above poor lady, who’s been tagged (the blue marker writings, from left to right) “Sinner of Eternal” (:P lousy engrish traslation), “Hanjian” and “Sinner”? Well, it’s because she’s one of an lead actor in the latest comedy/drama/rubbish/blockbuster which is currently airing in major cinemas in my country (to be precise, only cinemas in Perak).

The bad thing about this drama:

  • It might turn into a political turmoil which might affect the rakyat (citizen) in many ways. Doubt that will happen because 1. malaysian easy to forget things, 2. Our “beloved” BN government will not allow that to happen (in order their 饭碗 won’t be snatched away)

The good things about this,

  • Malaysia is getting merrier and more interesting (as in not that boring),
  • The rakyat get more topics to bullshit about in their daily life,
  • Indicates that our “beloved” BN government still is very “geng”, aka. political stability is guaranteed.

Lastly, to sum things up.

If this post contains any not suitable material, kindly let me know before hand so that i can delete this post, and please don’t just simply “invite” me to your house and “minum kopi”. Thanks for your help. (*cough cough* you might know who i’m refering to. Don’t mind if you din get it)
